Getting Around in Belfast

 
Getting There

By air: Belfast International Airport is 30km north of the city centre. Flights from all over Europe land here on a daily business. The easiest way to get from the airport to the city is by using the Airbus service which operates every 30 minutes (Monday to Friday) between 5.45am and 11.20pm. A return ticket £9/£6.

By train: There is a regular service from Connolly Station on the northside of Dublin to Belfast Central. Train journey time is approximately 2½ hours and costs €48 return and €33 single.

By bus: There are also regular bus services from Dublin to Belfast. Ulsterbus operate 7 services daily and costs €26 return from the Irish capital and €19.


Getting Around

By bus: Belfast’s bus service is called ‘Citybus’ and it operates approximately 60 routes around the city. A short distance journey within the one zone costs 70p and a journey between zones but still within the city costs £1.20.

By taxi: Black taxis operate throughout Belfast city centre and can be hailed on the street or can be got at ranks around the city.
